TRAILER RACE OF DESTRUCTION RULES AND REGULATIONS

All Drivers must register using the entry area below!

The following rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designated to provide for the orderly conduct of a Trailer Race of Destruction held at Kil-Kare Speedway to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events.  These rules shall govern the condition of the events, and, by participating in this event, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules.  No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of or compliance with these rules and/or regulations.  They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participant, spectator or official.

The officials assigned to the event shall be empowered to permit minor deviation from any specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in their opinion do not alter the safety factor.  Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of Kil-Kare Speedway officials, and their decision is final.  Kil-Kare Speedway reserves the right to approve and/or reject all entries.  

PARTICIPANT ENTRIES

A.                 All persons MUST sign an insurance waiver, a release form, and purchase a pit pass before entering the pit area.  Long sleeves shirts, gloves and long pants are required.

B.                 No one is allowed in pit area under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  Possession of either will result in disqualification and expulsion from the premises.

C.                 All drivers must be 18 years of age or older, and will have to provide proof of age.  No one will be allowed in the pit area under the age of 18.  Anyone less than 18 years of age must have a written release from a parent or legal guardian.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

D.                  Drivers are responsible for the actions of their entire crew.

 AUTOMOBILE AND TRAILER REGULATIONS

 

A.                 Any type passenger vehicle, truck, van or pick up.  Pick ups must have headache rack/roll bar behind cab in bed.  No convertibles allowed.

B.                 Sponsors are encouraged, however, no writing allowed on car or trailer that is profane, in bad taste or offensive to others.

C.                 Windshield must remain in the car or adequate protection must be installed to prevent debris from entering the car.  “Tow” vehicle must be free of glass, lights, etc.

D.                 All cars must have seat belts and solid floor boards in driver’s compartment.

E.                  No studded tires are allowed.

F.                  Camp trailers, tent trailers and wooden boats are preferred with all glass and junk removed and will be given preference if entries are limited.  All trailers must have a theme, only be light duty (no farm equipment, heavy trailers, flatbed, pick up bed trailers or manure spreaders will be allowed).  No mattresses, hay, straw, packing peanuts or other materials that will cause a fire hazard allowed.  No extra tires, propane tanks, oil drums or barrels. ANYONE WHO BRINGS A BOAT MUST REMOVE THE BOAT AFTER THE RACE!

G.                 Trailer hitches must be light duty and of a type normally used on passenger automobiles and must be mounted below bumper.

H.                 No cables or chains connecting car and trailer.  “Stock” safety chains only.  All tongue jacks, stabilizer jacks must be removed or cut off flush with bottom of trailer frame.

I.                    All trailers are subject to approval of Kil-Kare Speedway officials.  

RACING REGULATIONS

 A.        All drivers MUST wear approved helmets with shield or goggles and flame retardant suit.

B.         A drivers meeting will be held by the Director of Competition preceding the race.  Attendance is mandatory.

C.        All cars and trailers must be signed in prior to event and inspected by 6:00 p.m. on day of the event.  Line up of event by draw and “best appearing” for pole position.  Winner will be declared as “the last trailer trailing” or by fan applause.  IF you loose your trailer, get off the track.

D.        No hitting driver’s door.  Watch flagman.  Cars must stay on pavement and may ONLY go around the track counter clockwise.

E.         Any injuries must be reported to an official immediately.

F.         Do not leave cockpit of car until trailer race ends, unless on fire or instructed to do so by an official.  Seat belts and helmet must remain on.

          Please note by submitting registration, you agree that you have read and will comply fully with the rules as stated above. Any rules infractions will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
