        It was Super Saturday and the last point’s race for Indy, It was a great weather day for racing. We were down just a little on car count on this Labor Day weekend. Then the unfortunate accident, we will all miss you Doug. Getting back to racing we got the team for Indy set in all brackets but motorcycle and that will be up to Dick Orr when it will be set. We did have two run offs at the in of the night in pro. We had one first time winner and five repeat winners this weekend.

 

      On Super Saturday bracket one pays $1,500 to win and we had 99 cars stage up for round one. It was some tuff racing all the way to the winner circle with 21 five 0 bulbs and Brian Fuller with a perfect .500 and 14 dead on runs with John Montgomery with a 6.190 on a 6.19 dial in and Billy Back with a 4.980 on a 4.98 dial in. In round two seven five 0 bulbs with Roger Taylor, Rodney Easterling and Dean Karns Jr all having .503 and three dead on runs with Dave Rhoads 6.903 on a 6.90 dial in being the best. In round three we had three five 0 bulbs with Boomer Ellison having the best with a .506 and three dead on runs with George Nibert running a 6.875 on a 6.87 and Andrew J Barrett running a 5.745 on a 5.74 dial in. In round four the best light and best run was Darren Campbell with .501 and a 6.051 on a 6.05 dial in. In the quarterfinals Dean Howard of New Carlisle, Ohio in his 67 Nova got the bye run. Darren Campbell of Xenia, Ohio in his 71 Chevelle used a .504 light and ran a 6.045 on a 6.04 dial in to beat George Nibert of London, Ohio in his 71 Nova. Boomer Ellison of Beavercreek, Ohio in his 68 Camaro used the better light to beat Jim Cowan of Miamisburg, Ohio in his 27 Ford Roadster. JR Lockhart of Dayton, Ohio in his 96 Racetech Dragster red lighted giving the win to Dean Karns Jr of Fairborn, Ohio in his Dragster. In the semi finals Karns Jr used a .501 to beat a red lighting Campbell. Howard had the better light but Ellison ran a 5.932 on a 5.93 dial in to get the win. In the final Ellison had a .516 and ran a 5.939 on a 5.93 dial in for his second win of the season.

        In the Pro bracket there was 61 cars staged up for the first round with six five 0 bulbs and one dead on run. Don Anderson and Matt Baird both had .504 lights and Robert Faulkner ran an 11.304 on an 11.30 dial in. In round two Darren Hilterbran had a .502 light and Jeff Stokes ran an 11.090 on an 11.09 dial in. In round three Dale Buck had the best light with a .501. In the quarterfinals Dale Buck of Bellbrook, Ohio in his 72 Monte Carlo ran dead on with a 12.329 on a 12.32 dial in to get by Steve Collier of Xenia, Ohio in his 67 Camaro. Bill Cramer of Springboro, Ohio in his 69 Camaro ran a dead on 11.778 on an 11.77 dial in to beat Darren Hilterbran of Tipp City, Ohio in his 90 Mustang. Jeff Stokes of Riverside, Ohio in his 68 Camaro red lighted giving the win to Patrick Partee Jr of Xenia, Ohio in his 68 Chevelle. Matt Baird of West Carrollton, Ohio in his 72 Demon had the better light and got the win light over John Bosier of Sabina, Ohio in his 64 Dodge. In the semi finals Baird won a close one over Partee Jr and Hilterbran red lighted giving the win to Buck. In the final Buck red lighted giving Baird his third win of the season and second in a row.

       In the Sportsman bracket we had 31 cars stage up for round one with the best light going to Nell Forsythe with a .506. In the quarterfinals Debbie Oiler of Springfield, Ohio in her 93 Mustang broke out giving the win to Howard Ledford of Kettering, Ohio in his 99 Mustang. Nell Forsythe of Fairborn, Ohio in her 79 Mustang won a close one over Dennis Young of Riverside, Ohio in his 71 Camaro. Gary Knight of Dayton, Ohio in his 86 Monte Carlo SS red lighted to brother Terry Knight of Huber Heights, Ohio in his 97 Firebird. Earl crouch of New Lebanon, Ohio in his 84 Monte Carlo had the better light but Brian Collier of Xenia, Ohio in his 70 Challenger got the win. In the semi finals Knight ran dead on with a 15.715 on a 15.71 dial in to get by Forsythe who broke out. Collier used a .504 light to get by Ledford. In the final Knight red lighted giving Collier his first win of the season.

      In a shorten and sad Motorcycle field we start with the semi finals Sam Cotterman of Tremont City, Ohio on his 81 Suzuki red lighted giving the win to Marshall Hutchinson of Columbus, Ohio on his Kawasaki. Bob Burt of Grove City, Ohio on his 91 CBR red lighted giving the win to Nathan Thatcher of Dayton, Ohio on his 76 Kawasaki. In the final Hutchinson had the better light .544 to .546 but Thatcher got the win for Doug.

      In Junior Dragster we had 30 cars stage up for the first round with the best run of the round being Robbie Kocol 9.231 on a 9.23 dial in. In round two Killian Fansler had a .502 light that was the best of the night. Payton Filson ran an 8.957 on an 8.95 dial in. In the quarterfinals Dylan Bair of Urbana, Ohio in his 01 Jegster ran an 10.926 on a 10.92 dial in but red lighted with a .499 giving the win to Matt Spradlin of Springfield, Ohio in his 00 Spitzer. Killian Fansler of Kettering, Ohio in his 03 Half ran an 7.903 on a 7.90 dial in to beat a breaking out Ceslie Shellhaas of Springfield, Ohio in her 00 BOS. Andrew Casanova of Tipp City, Ohio in his 00 BOS had the better light and beat Bryant Fairchild of New Carlisle, Ohio in his 98 Spitzer. Ryan Jenks of Jamestown, Ohio in his Jegster had the better light and got the win light over Kyle Shorts of Trenton, Ohio in his 00 Spitzer. In the semi finals Jenks had the better light and got the win over Spradlin. Fansler used a .512 light to beat out Casanova. In the final Jenks had a .504 light and got another win to add to his season total when Fansler broke a rod in the motor.

       In High School in was Michael Collier of Dayton, Ohio in his Camaro getting another win with a 15.004 on a 15.00 dial in over David Reedy of Xenia, Ohio in his 82 Mustang.
