        The gates opened at 10:00AM with clouds on and off all day. The temp’s was in the 60’s and we had 247 cars and bikes on hand when the racing started. The point’s chase for the gold cards got closer with next week being the last point’s race of the season.

 

         In the first round of super pro 96 cars staged up with eight five 0 bulbs and Ron Watts having a perfect .500 light, and 20 dead on runs with John Montgomery running a 6.120 on a 6.12 dial in. In round two we had 11 five 0 bulbs with Tim Louderback going a perfect .500 and seven dead on runs with Matt Steen going 5.560 on a 5.56 dial in. In round three we had four five 0 bulbs with Jeff Toms having the best at .503 and three dead on runs with JR Lockhart having the best with a 5.005 on a 5.00 dial in. In round four we had four five 0 bulbs with Wayne Angell having the best with a .501 and two dead on runs with Jim Emrick having the best with a 6.520 on a 6.52 dial in. In the quarterfinals Richard Miller of Dayton, Ohio in his 93 Spitzer Dragster got the bye run. Gary Spence of Huber Heights, Ohio in his Morris Dragster used a .509 light and ran 5.517 on a 5.51 dial in to beat Amber Mcilvain of New Carlisle, Ohio in her 99 Boulton Dragster. Jeff Toms of Clayton, Ohio in his 81 Capri used the better light to get the win over Mike Kreitzer of Wapakoneta, Ohio in his Dragster. Jerry R Cochran of Springfield, Ohio in his 70 Nova and Jim Emrick of Tipp City, Ohio in his 69 Camaro both had .510 lights but Jerry broke out giving the win to Jim. In the semi finals Emrick won the double breakout race with Spence. Toms had the starting line advantage .503 to .507 but broke out giving the win to Miller. In the final Emrick was looking for his second straight win but red lighted with a .496 giving Miller his first win of the season.

         In the pro bracket 72 cars staged up for the first round with John Self having the best light with a .503 and Bob Manker running a 12.002 on a 12.00 dial in for the best. In round two Steve Collier had the best light with a .502 and Rich Wilson ran a 10.969 on a 10.96 dial in for the best. In round three we had no five 0 bulbs but Bill Livesay ran dead on with a zero at 10.650. In round four Walt Shade Jr had the best light with a .503 and Lonnie Lindsey ran a 10.673 on a 10.67 dial in. In the quarterfinals Jim Lynch of Centerville, Ohio in his 67 Camaro got the bye run. Walt Shade Jr of riverside, Ohio in his 68 Mustang got the win over Bill Livesay of Fairborn, Ohio in his 70 Nova. Steve Collier of Xenia, Ohio in his Fox Dragster ran a 10.043 on a 10.04 dial in to beat Lonnie Lindsey of Washington Court House, Ohio in his 67 Camaro. In the semi finals Collier got the bye run. Lynch red lighted giving the win to Shade Jr. In the final Shade Jr red lighted with a .498 giving the win to Collier.

       In the sportsman bracket 31 cars staged up for the first round with Brian Collier running a 13.008 on a 13.00 dial in for the best of the round. In round two Christina Parriman ran a 13.088 on a 13.08 dial in for the best of the round. In the quarterfinals Gary Knight of Dayton, Ohio in his 86 Monte Carlo SS got the win when Wayne Estridge of Dayton, Ohio in his 79 Warlock red lighted. Brian Collier of Xenia, Ohio in his 70 Challenger won a double break out race over Joe Zimmer of Dayton, Ohio in his 71 Camaro. Doug Caplinger of Xenia, Ohio in his 79 Malibu beat a breaking out Jason Donnaker of Springfield, Ohio in his 04 Pontiac. Phil Borton of Urbana, Ohio in his 79 Camaro red lighted giving the win to Nell Forsythe of Fairborn, Ohio in her 79 Mustang. In the semi finals Caplinger got by Knight. Forsythe won the double breaking race with Collier. In the final Forsythe broke out giving Caplinger the track champion another win.

        In motorcycle 25 bikes staged up for first round with Chance Russell having a .509 for the best light of the round and Brian Poe running an 8.620 on an 8.62 dial in for the best of the round. In round two Roger Wilhelm Jr ran a 10.004 on a 10.00 dial in for the best of the round. In the quarterfinals Tim Cooper of Springfield, Ohio on his Kawasaki got the bye run. Chance Russell of Dayton, Ohio on his 82 Suzuki red lighted giving the win to Brain Poe of Cable, Ohio on his 96 Suzuki. Roger Wilhelm Jr of Urbana, Ohio on his 72 Kawasaki red lighted giving the win to Russ Withem of Fairborn, Ohio on his 78 Kawasaki. Gregg Dixon of Urbana, Ohio on his 77 Kawasaki red lighted giving the win to Dean Weaks of Fairborn, Ohio on his 77 Suzuki. In the semi finals Weaks ran an 11.374 on an 11.37 dial in to get by Poe. Withem red lighted to Cooper. In the final Weaks had the better light but Cooper got his first win of the season.

       In the junior dragster class 23 cars staged up for first round with Danielle Kendall having a .503 light for the best of the round and Mike Philpott running 8.940 on an 8.94 dial in for the best of the round. In round two it was Nathanael Stilwell running a 7.901 on a 7.90 dial in for the best of the round. In the quarterfinals Ryan Jenks of Jamestown, Ohio in his Jegster used a .507 light to get by Andi Terrell of New Carlisle, Ohio in her 96 Jegster. Dylan Bair of Urbana, Ohio in his 01 Jegster red lighted giving the win to Tyler Vance of New Carlisle, Ohio in his 97 BOS. Zach Wolfe of Miamisburg, Oho had a .502 light for the best of the race but lost to Nathanael Stilwell of Baltimore, Ohio in his 96 Jegster. In the semi finals Vance got the bye run. Jenks ran an 8.767 on an 8.76 dial in but lost to Stilwell who had a .511 light. In the final Stilwell red lighted giving the win to Vance.
