Well after last weeks rainout the weather was great for racing and the car count was right at 300 for this Super Saturday and make up race for the Junior Dragster. We had six first time winners and one repeat.

The Junior Dragster Challenge was ran in two brackets 8 to 12 year olds and 13 to 17 year olds with no points. In the older bracket there was 15 cars in the first round. Jake Browder ran an 8.791 on an 8.79 dial in for the best of the round. In round two Ryan Jenks ran an 8.680 on an 8.68 dial in. In the semi finals Ryan Jenks of Jamestown, Ohio in his 00 Jegster used a better light to get by Andi Terrell of New Carlisle, Ohio in her 96 Jegster. Michael Sturgill of Beavercreek, Ohio in his 98 Bos had the best light of the day to win the reaction time award and take out Jake Browder of Fairborn, Ohio. In the final Sturgill got his third win of the season over a breaking out Jenks.

In the younger bracket 18 cars started the first round with Shawn Pitts running the best of the round with a 9.006 on a 9.00 dial in. In the semi finals Jake Riley of Carlisle, Ohio in his 97 Bos got the bye run and he had the best reaction time of the day to win the award. Erik Smith of New Carlisle, Ohio in his 96 Bos had the better light and got the win over Ciera Philpott of Waynesville, Ohio in her 03 Spitzer. In the final Riley used another .513 light to get his first win of the season over Smith.

In super pro for super Saturday we had 122 staged up for first round. Ronda Austing and Dean Howard both cut perfect .500 lights and Danny Kendall ran a 6.130 on a 6.13 dial in Mikey Campbell ran a 7.270 on a 7.27 dial in and Wayne Adams ran a 5.300 on a 5.30 dial in to start things off. In round two Harold Lunsford had a perfect .500 light and four drivers ran dead on with a one Leon Bryan, Jay Fedkow, Matt Barrett and Bob Henry. In round three Jim Emrick had a .501 light and Rick Nelson ran a 6.062 on a 6.06 dial in. In round four the best light was a .508 by Greg Kain and three drivers ran dead on with a one Rick Nelson, George Buchhalter and Jerry Dunkel. In the quarterfinals Jim Emrick of Tipp city, Ohio in his 69 Camaro had the better light but broke out giving the win to Rick Nelson of Xenia, Ohio in his 87 Shelby. Jeremy Kessler of Sabina, Ohio in his 90 Trans Am used a .502 light to get the win over Phil Spradlin of Springfield, Ohio in his 69 Nova. Jerry Dunkel of Kettering, Ohio in his 69 Chevelle ran a 6.131 on a 6.13 dial in to beat a breaking out Adam Trauth of Cold Springs, Kentucky in his 02 Davis. Jay Fedkow of Xenia, Ohio in his 96 Dragster used the better light to get by Greg Kain of Kettering, Ohio in his Dragster. In the semi finals Kessler red lighted giving the win to Nelson. Fedkow also red lighted giving the win to Dunkel. In the final Dunkel had the better light .506 to .518 but Nelson ran 6.010 on a 6.01 dial in to take his first win of the season.

In the pro bracket 84 cars staged up for the first round with Donnie Manning getting a perfect .500 light and two drivers running dead on with a three Keith Stewart and Chris Parriman. In round two Dave Cox had the best light with a .506 and Brian Quillen ran an 11.527 on an 11.52 dial in. In round three Donnie Manning had the best light with a .502 and Earl Wyatt ran a 12.084 on a 12.08 dial in. In round four Michael Roberts had a .506 light. In the quarterfinals Earl Wyatt of Bellbrook, Ohio in his 70 Challenger got the win over Michael Roberts of Huber Heights, Ohio in his 63 Nova. Shane Vonderstrass of Clarksville, Ohio in his 29 Ford red lighted giving the win to Vince Moore of Xenia, Ohio on his 72 Maverick. Rick Shepherd of Riverside, Ohio in his 74 Nova used the better light to get by Mike Gill of Washington Court House, Ohio in his 79 Camaro. In the semi finals Shepherd got the bye and had a .501 light. Wyatt cut the better light to beat Moore. In the final Wyatt won the double break out race over Shepherd for his first win of the season.

In the sportsman bracket 35 cars staged up for the first round with Jim Kelley having the best light with a .503. In round two Earl Crouch had a .509 light and Tom Shoupe Jr ran a 16.645 on a 16.64 dial in. In round three Walt Shade Jr ran a 13.435 on a 13.43 dial in. In the quarterfinals Earl Crouch of New Lebanon, Ohio in his Monte Carlo got the bye run. Richard Hammond of West Milton, Ohio in his 87 Firebird used a .508 light to beat Walt Shade Jr of Riverside, Ohio in his 73 Maverick. Jim Kelley of Riverside, Ohio in his 85 Monte Carlo got the win over Bill Fogt of Anna, Ohio in his 69 Chevelle. In the semi finals Kelley got the bye run. Hammond had the better light but Crouch got the win. In the final Crouch rolled the lights giving Kelley his first win of the season.

In the motorcycle bracket 21 bikes staged up for the first round and Paul Herald Jr had a .501 light to start things off. In round two Roger Wilhelm Jr and Mike McGrath both had .503 lights and Dean Weaks ran an 11.186 on an 11.18 dial in. In the quarterfinals Mike McGrath of Dayton, Ohio on his 77 Kawasaki broke on the line giving the win to Dean Weaks of Fairborn, Ohio on his 77 Suzuki. Wes Johnson of North Hampton, Ohio on his Kawasaki red lighted giving the win to Larry Sagraves of Springfield, Ohio on his 77 Kawasaki. Brad Shellhaas of Springfield, Ohio on his 75 Kawasaki got by Pete Brooks of Dayton, Ohio on his 98 Kawasaki. In the semi finals Weaks got the bye run. Shellhaas had the better light but Sagraves got the win. In the final Weaks when red giving Sagraves his first win of the season.

In the high school final David Reedy of Xenia, Ohio in his 82 Mustang red lighted giving Joe Hoskins of Fairborn, Ohio in his 97 Neon his first win ever.
