            Saturday drag racing action continued as Team Kil-Kare battled with other Division 3 competitors at the NHRA Bracket Finals. As the sun went down the cars sped up to make an exciting Drag Race.

            In Super Pro Quarterfinals, it was Randy Estridge against Bill Caudill. As the pair approached the line, Estridge dialed a 5.94 to the 6.76 of Caudill. Estridge was better at the tree with a 515 light, but Caudill would make the pass running a 6.765 for the win. Up next was James Hill against Steve Herald. Hill dialed in a 5.57 to the 6.21 of Herald. Hill would be better by .1 at the tree, but would have an off run, as Herald made the pass with a 6.237 run for the win. Up next was Jim Smith and Evan Kirk. Smith with a 4.88 dial and Kirk with a 4.78 dial. At the tree the battle would be very close, with Smith ahead by.0008 secs. At the finish line it would be a win light for Ji Smith with a 4.888 run. In the last pair of the round, it was Dean McIlvain against Dwayne Hoffer. McIlvain dialed a 4.70 to the 5.81 of Hoffer. Hoffer would see a better reaction time, but would breakout making McIlvain the Winner with a 4.722 run.

            In the semis it was McIlvain against Herald. McIlvain dialed a 4.71 to the 6.21 of Herald. Herald cut a better light this time a .517, along with a 6.223 run for the win light. Up next it would be Jim Smith and Bill Cuadill. Smith dialed a 4.88 to the 6.75 of Caudill at the starting line. Smith however would get the redlight, moving Caudill to the All door car finals in Super Pro.

            In the Supor Pro Finals it was Steve Herald against Bill Caudill. Herald dialed a 6.21 to the 6.76 of Caudill.  Caudill would record the better reaction time with a .506, however it would be Steve Herald with the win running a 6.189.

            In Pro bike quarters it was Perry Sowers against Alan Stamper. Sowers dialed a 9.08 to the 9.81 of Stamper. Sowers would cut the better reaction time with a .505 lgith getting the advantage. The finish line would record Perry Sowers the winner with a 9.125 run. Up next was Rick Haupt against Longsleeves Dave Rose. Haupt dialed in a 8.76 to tge 14.66 on the Harley of Logsleeves. Longsleeves would have the better reaction time with a .538 light, but Haupt was up to the challenge making the run in 8.769 seconds for the win light. Tim Cooper had the bye into the Semis.

            Semi Finals saw Sowers get the bye into the finals, so it would be up to Tim Cooper and Rick Haupt to race for the chance to face Sowers in the finals. At the line a 9.90 dial was on Cooper’s bike and an 8.77 on Haupt’s. Reaction time battle was won by Cooper with a  .505, however he would breakout giving the win to Haupt.

            In the finals it was Haupt against Sowers. AS they left the line a red light for Haupt would give Perry Sowers the Pro Bike win for the event.

           

            In the Pro division it was Steve Collier and Mike Davis staging for the first run in the quarterfinals. Collier dialed a 10.01 to the 11.72 of Mike Davis. The tree would be kind to Davis with a .509 light, along with an 11.805 run for the win! Up next was Matt Antrobius against Gary Pund. Antrobius would dial a 9.92 to the 10.80 of Pund. Matt would get the better light with a .555 along with a 9.932 run for the win light. Next up was Charles Picklesimer against Randy Smith. Picklesimer dialed an 11.46 to the 10.62 of Smith.   Redlight for Smith pushed Charles Picklesimer to the next round. Last pair for the round was Mike Little against Richard Gill. Little dialed an 11.03 to the 10.37 of Gill. As the pair approached the line Gill would go red, moving Little to the next round!

            In the semis it was Mile Little against Matt Antrobius. Little dialed an 11.05 to the 9.92 of Antrobius. As they left the line it was a .523 for Little to get the advantage, along with an 11.090 run for the win. Up next was Mike Davis against Charles Picklesimer, Picklesimer couldn’t make the call after mechanical difficulties, moving Mike davis on with the broke run.

            In the Pro Finals it was Little against Davis. Little would dial an 11.08 to the 11.77 of Davis. Davis cut a .504 light with a nice 11.802 run for the win as Little broke out.

            In the Sportsman quarters it was Ronnie King against Brian Emory. King would dial a 12.42 to the 16.76 of Emory. Emory had the better light, a .571 but King would take the double breakout win with a 12.395 run over Emory. Up next was Joe Picklesimer vs. Ryan Barrett. Picklesimer would dial a 16.10 to the 13.85 of Barrett. At the tree Picklesimer was ahead by .004 seconds, but barrett would have a better run with a 13.897 for the win. Mark Moore got the bye into the next round.

            In the semis Barrett had the bye into the finals so it would be up to Ronnie King and Mark Moore top battle for the remaining spot. King dialed a 12.40 to the 12.83 of Moore . Reaction times were close as the difference between the two was .004 seconds. At the finish line win lights  would go on for the double breakout winner with a 12.368 run, Ronnie King.

            In sportsman finals, fans, races and officals, got to see great sportsmanship out of Ryan Barrett. As the call was made for the pair to come around the tower, King’s S-10 had issues starting. Ronnie was given the appropriate time to fire the truck, and when time expired, Ryan Barret allowed his competitor even more time to get his machine fired for the race. After a few short moments the Ronnie King Machine was fired up, and they went to the line for the finals. King dialed in 12.39 against Barrett’s 13.82. As the pair approached the tree, it would be a .597 for Barrett that was the better of the two. At the finish line the win light went to Ran Barrett with a 13.854 run.

            In the Junior Dragster quarterfinals it was Shawn Alex against Mike Morris. Alex dialed an 11.29 to the 9.48 of Morris. Morris had the better light with a .631 as the pari went to the finish line it would be Shawn Alex moving to the next round with an 11.358 run for the win. Up next was Megan Hughes against Lacy Emory. As the pair staged up it would be Hughes with a 10.59 dial to the 7.90 of Emory. Reaction time battle was won by Hughes with a .617, but Emory would get the win with a 7.912 run. Last pair for the round was Jake Riley and Tyler Vance. Riley dialed an 8.72 to the 8.40 of Vance. Vance got the better reaction time with a .694 along with the 8.419 run for the win!

            In the Semi finals it would be Tyler Vance and Shawn Alex paired up. Vance dialed in an 8.39 to the 11.31 of Alex. As the pair went to the track the reaction time battle was won by Vance with a .618 reaction, coupled along with an 8.529 run for the win. Lacy Emory had the bye into the next round.

            In the finals it would be Tyler Vance against Lacy Emory. Vance dialed an 8.40 to the 7.90 of Emory. Vance was a .552 reaction, which lead Lacy to the breakout, giving Tyler the win for the event going an 8.546.
