October 14, 2006 – Super Pro Quarter finals saw James Emrick pair against Christina Parriman for the first pair of the round. Emrick would dial a 6.51 to the 6.81 of Parriman. An early start for Emrick would get him the red light moving Parriman on to the next round. The next pair to stage was Ron Vance and Chad Hoey. Vance dialed his machine to a 5.16 and Hoey to a 6.03. Vance cut a .509 for the better reaction time, but Hoey would have enough head start to run a 6.036 for the win. Jim Smith had the Bye into the next round.

            In the semi finals it was Jim Smith to face Chad Hoey. Smith dialed a 4.84 and Hoey a 6.02. As the pair left the starting line, it was a .516 for Hoey to get the advantage however, Jim smith made his pass with a 4.841 to get the win light. Christina Parriman had the bye run into the finals.

            Finals round saw Parriman vs. Smith. Jim Smith would dial a 4.84 to Christina’s 6.80. As the pair saw the lights, it was Christina with a .503 for the better light, however once again Smith would run dead on with a 4.843 and this time Parriman broke out giving Smith the win in Super Pro.

            In Pro quarterfinals it was Bill Livesay to face Jay Ward. Livesay dialed a 10.55 to the 10.84 of Ward. Livesay got a red light moving Ward onto the next round. Matt Antrobius was up next to face off with James Sanders. Matt dialed a 9.86 to the 11.05 of James Sanders. Sanders cut a .509, and ran Antrobius hard down the track; it would be a double breakout win for Antrobius with a 9.854 run. Randy Smith had the Bye into the Semis.

            In the Semifinals we would see Matt Antrobius face Randy Smith. Antrobius dialed a 9.85 in his Camaro. Both vehicles would get a green light; Smith would record the better reaction with a .519. At the big end Smith broke out with a 10.515 run, moving Antrobius to the finals. Jay Ward had the Bye to face Antrobius in the finals.

            In the final round, Antrobius would dial a 9.85, and Ward a 10.79. At the Starting line, red light came on for Jay Ward giving Antrobius the Win in Pro.

            Sportsman Quarterfinals had Harold Young and John Cox paring up. Young dialed a 13.17 to the 13.53 of Cox. At the line it would be Cox with the better reaction time a .536 for the advantage. As the pair got to the finish line, Cox would record the win with a 13.582 run. Doug Caplinger and Mark Moore would stage up for the next pair. Caplinger dialed a 12.00 to the 12.36 of Moore. Moore recorded the better reaction time with a .558; at the finish line Moore would receive the win light with a 12.379 run. Alan Flora and Joe Cloran Jr staged next. Flora dialed a 12.45 and Flora a 15.05.Flora won the reaction race with a .516 light, coupled with a 12.491 run for the win light. Paul Gibbs and Ken Forsythe were up for the last pair of the quarters. Gibbs would dial a 13.85 to the 14.11 of Forsythe. Gibbs would cut a .504 light which gave him the starting line advantage, enough to get a win with a 13.868 run.

            In the semifinals it was Paul Gibbs vs. John Cox. Gibbs dialed a 13.85 to the 13.53 of Gibbs. As the pair went to the tree it would be Cox with the better reaction time a .635. As the pair left the line, both were racing hard, and Gibbs would receive a double breakout win with a 13.820 run. Next up would be Mark Moore and Alan Flora. Moore dialed a 12.36 and Flora a 12.43. Flora would cut a .5009 light along with his 12.450 run for the win.

            In the finals it would be Paul Gibbs to face Alan Flora. Gibbs dialed a 13.82 to the 12.38 of Flora. Flora would get a .524 reaction time along with a 12.416 run to take the win in Sportsman.

            In pro Bike quarterfinals Dave “Longsleeves” Rose dialed a 14.97 against Steve Withem and a 10.38 dial. With would have a better reaction time, with a .579, however Rose pushed him to a double breakout, making Dave rose the winner with a 14.938 run. Up next was Bob Nugent and Dave Beavers, a run that would decide the Pro Bike Championship. Nugent dialed a 9.79 to the 9.92 of Beavers. Nugent would cut a .524 light, and ran a 9.790 run for the win. Up next it was Burt Exman and Brad Shellhaas. Exman dialed an 8.60 to the 9.30 of Shellhaas. Exman cut a .527 light but Shellhaas made the pass around him with a 9.329 run for the win.

            In the semifinals it was Dave Rose to face Brad Shellhaas. Rose got a red-light, moving Shellhaas to the finals to face Nugent who had the Bye run.

            In the finals it was Bob Nugent and Brad Shellhaas. At the line Nugent dialed a 9.68 to the 9.31 of Shellhaas. Shellhaas would get a red light, and that would give Bob Nugent the win for the night and the one point that would make him Kil-Kare Dragway’s 2006 Pro Bike Champion.

            As this was the final points race for 2006, Kil-Kare would like to thank all the fans, racers, sponsors, and staff for a great 2006 points season, and we hope to see all of you in 2007 for another great year of drag racing! Kil-Kare will hold Test and Tune on Thursday and Saturday as long as weather permits in 2006!
