Mark Griffith Wins Super Pro


            Super Pro quarters saw Nathan Baker and James Emrick stage in the first pairing. Baker would dial a 6.33 to Emrick’s 6.57. Of the starting line it was Emrick with a .519 light for the starting line advantage. As the pair reached the finish line, we saw a win light for the Nathan Baker Mustang with a 6.336 run. Up next would be Tim Louderback and Mikey Sturgill. Louderback would dial a 5.32, and Sturgill would dial 5.00. Sturgill was cutting near perfect lights with a .503 this time out for the starting line advantage, along with a 5.050 run for the win. Mark Griffith had the Bye in the next round.

            In the semis it was Griffith that would pair up with Mikey Sturgill for the first pair. Griffith would dial a 5.11 to Sturgill’s 5.01. Griffith would be better off the line this time with a .504 light along with his 5.118 run for the win. Nathan Baker would receive the Bye run to face Griffith in the finals.

            Nathan Baker would stage up to Mark Griffith in the finals, Griffith would dial a 5.11 to Baker’s 6.33. Griffith was better off the line with a .513 light, along with a 5.120 run to capture the Super Pro Win!

            In Pro quarters Mike Davis matched up with Don Anderson Jr. 10.32 was the dial for Davis against Anderson with his dial of 11.00. Anderson cut the better light with a .525, to give him the advantage. At the finish line it would be Anderson with a 11.053 run for the win. Tonya Tyree celebrated her birthday as she went into the quarters against Michael Roberts. Tyree would dial a 10.16 and Roberts a 10.24. Roberts would red light, and move Tyree on to the next round.  Doug Caplinger was up next to face James Sanders. Caplinger would dial in an 11.48, and Sanders an 11.13. Caplinger was better off the line with a .516 light, which would translate into a win with an 11.515 run. Up next Brian Fox and Gwayne Honeycutt. Mechanical difficulties would end Honeycutt’s night and move Brian fox on to the next round.

            In the Semis Tonya Tyree would face off with Bryan Fox. Tyree dialed in a 10.17, to Fox’s 9.80. Fox was better off the line with a .571 light, and the win with a 9.853 run. Doug Caplinger got the Bye to face Brian fox in the Finals.  

            Final Round saw Bryan Fox and Doug Caplinger pair up. 11.44 the dial for Caplinger, and 9.80 for Fox, Fox would be better off the tree with a .529 light and would take the win with a 9.820 run.

            In Sportsman quarters it would be Buy Back Racer 3565 against John McFall. McFall would dial a 12.49 against 3565’s 16.55 Mc Fall cut a .595 together with a 12.498 run for the win. Up next would be Scott Brewer and Brian Collier. Brewer would dial a 13.48 and Collier a 13.52. Collier was better of the two at the starting line, and that would be enough to get him the win with a 13.589 run. Sam bunch got the Bye in the semi finals.

            John McFall received the Bye for the Semis, and it would be up to Sam Bunch and Brian Collier to do battle for the remaining spot. The pair staged with Bunch dialing a 15.68 to Colliers 13.52. Bunch broke out and that put Collier in the Finals to face McFall.

            In the finals it was Collier who saw the red light come up and that gave McFall the win for the night!

            In Pro Bike it was Dave Beavers and Kevin Hoskins staging first. Beavers would dial a 9.95 to Hoskin’s 11.79. The battle of the starting line was only a difference of .002 seconds but the Beav rode over the finish line first with a 10.245 run. Up next was Brian Poe and Rick Haupt.  Poe dialed in at a 9.20 to Haupt’s  8.86. Poe was better od the line with a .518 light. At the finish line it was Brian Poe moving on with a 9.198 run. The last pair for the quarters was Perry Dog Sowers and Glen Lakins. Sowers dialed an 9.01  and Lakins a 8.91. Sowers was the better of the two with a .554 light at the start, along with a 9.019 run to get the win.

            In the semis Sowers would receive the Bye run, which would put Poe and Beavers next. Beavers dialed a 9.93 to Poe’s 9.20. Beavers was better of the two at the start. At the finish line we saw Dave beavers with the win after a 9.977 run.

            In the Finals it was Beavers and Sowers. Beavers would dial his bike in at 9.95, and Sowers a 9.02.Sowers was better off the line, and Beavers broke out, giving Sowers the win.

            In Junior Dragster Quarter Finals, Brooke Adams staged with Lacy Emory, Adams with a 10.05 dial, to Emory’s 7.90. Reaction time battle would go to Adams with a .572 light, however Emory would pull off the win with a 7.907 run. Up next was Dylan Bair and Michael Bloomfield. Bair would dial in at 9.25 to Bloomfield’s 7.92. The tree was more kind to Bair with a .527, giving him the advantage that translated into a win with a 9.253 run. Alex Reis was up next dialing in with a 7.92, against Cory Sanderson who dialed an 8.39. Sanderson won the reaction time battle at the line, with a .568. That advantage would be enough to give him the win with an 8.361 run. Matt Spradlin had the Bye run into the next round.

            In the semi finals we saw Matt Spradlin against Lacy Emory Sprdalin would dial in with a 9.44, and Emory a 7.90. Lacy would be better off the tree with a .522 light, coupled with a 7.954 run for the win. The last pair for the semis was Dylan Bair and Cory Sanderson. Bair dialed in a 9.25 to Sandersons 8.40. Off the tree Bair was better with a .526 light, which would give him the win along with a 9.314 run as Sanderson broke out.

            In the Junior Finals it was Lacy Emory to face Dylan Bair, Emory would dial a 7.90 to Dylan Bair’s 9.28 . Off the tree the reaction time battle to Dylan Bair with .531 coupled with a 9.281 for the win!

 

HIGH SCHOOL

 

            High School Semin finals, it was Jason Parriman staging next to Brian Hurst. Parriman dialed in at a 14.15, and Hurst dialing in at a 17.13. As the tree came down the Hrust machine pulled a redlight, which moved Parriman to the next round. Up next was Aaron Spruauer to face Josh Toler. Sprauer dialed in a 17.54 to Toler’s 16.57. At the tree we saw the reaction time advantage went to Sprauer with .610, and the win with a 17.674 run.

            In the Finals it was Jason Parriman to face Aaron Sprauer. Sprauer would dial a 17.64 and Parriman dialed a 14.06. As the tree fell it would e Sprauer with the starting line advantage of .561, tied with a 17.81 for the win!.
