            On Saturday September 22 we began the day by finishing off the rainout race from September 8, 2007.  I would like to take a moment and congratulate the winners and semi-finalist for each bracket.  Bracket one winner was Roger Taylor over Dean Howard.  Semi-finalist was Josh Morgan and Darren Campbell.  Bracket two Winner was Jeff Stokes over Jay Ward.  Semi-finalist was Mike Hurless and James Sanders.  Bracket three winner was Laurie Hess over Brian Emory.  Semi-finalist was Charles Picklesimer.  In the bike class Rick Haupt won over Burt Exman.  Semi-finalist were Thad Neeld and Bob Nugent. 

 

 

In the quarter final round Bill Caudill from Beavercreek, Ohio raced against Dean Karnes Jr. from Fairborn, Ohio.  Both drivers had almost identical lights off of the starting line but Bill was able to hold on for the win.  In the next match up Evan Kirk from Waynesville, Ohio beat a falling off pace Sammy Baugh from Springfield, Ohio.  In the last match up of the round Jim Cowan from Miamisburg, Ohio advanced by receiving the bye run. 

 

 

            In the semi finals Bill raced against Jim Cowan.  Bill cut a  .5080 light and was able to hold on for the win.  In the last match up in this round Evan Kirk took the bye run into the final round were he would race against Bill Caudill. 

 

 

            In the final round Bill Caudill was able to beat a red lighting Evan to take the win.

 

 

            In the quarterfinals of the Pro class James Sanders from Riverside, Ohio competed against Jason Wheatcraft from Jamestown, Ohio.  James had the starting line advantage and was able to hold on for the win.  In the next match up between Rob Nixon from West Chester, Ohio defeated Shawn Stacy from Beavercreek, Ohio.  In the final race of the round Bill McGaughey from Dayton, Ohio made the bye run into the semi finals. 

 

 

            In the semi finals James was able to receive the starting line advantage over Bill and James was able to advance to the final round.  In the last race of this round Rob Nixon took the bye into the final.

 

 

            In the final James Sanders cut a .5339 light to Rob’s .5470 light.  James was able to defeat a falling off pace Rob to take the win.

 

 

In the quarterfinals of the Sportsman class we saw some tough competition.  The first match up was between Mike McGriff from Oregonia, Ohio and Sam Bunch from Centerville, Ohio.  Mike was able to defeat a red lighting Sam.  In the next match up Nick Davis from Moraine, Ohio competed against Vince Moore from Xenia, Ohio.  Nick was able to take the win because of his starting line advantage. In the next match up Jake Browder from Fairborn, Ohio took the bye run into the semi finals.

 

 

            In the Semi finals Jake Browder was able to defeat a breaking out Nick.  In the last match up of the round Mike McGriff was able to take the bye run win and advance to the final round.  

 

            In the final round Mike McGriff cut a .5319 light to Jake Browder’s .5830 light.  Mike  was able to catch Jake and take the win.   

 

 

            In the quarterfinals of Motorcycle Barry Coffman from Dayton, Ohio faced off against Glen Lakins from Trenton, Ohio. Barry had the starting line advantage and was able to hold on for the win.  In the next match up Roger Wilhelm Jr. from Urbana, Ohio raced against Michael Nugent from Tipp City, Ohio.  Roger was able to take the win over a breaking out Michael.  Bob Nugent from Trotwood, Ohio took the bye run into the semi finals.

 

            In the semi final round Roger Wilhelm Jr. was able to defeat a red lighting Bob Nugent.  In the last race of the round Barry Coffman was able to take a bye run into the final round.

 

            The final round was between Barry Coffman and Roger Wilhelm Jr.  Barry had a .5139 light to Roger’s .5420 light.   Barry was able to use the starting line advantage to take the win. 

 

In the final round of the high school eliminator Andrew England from West Chester, Ohio defeated a red lighting Robert Fairchild from New Carlisle, Ohio.
