On the first Saturday of June we had a warm and wonderful day for bracket racing.  We had an overall car count of about 200 cars and some repeat winners and first time winners for this year.  On this super Saturday we awarded double points and also gave away money for the best package in each bracket and the top qualifier in street received the quick rev award.

In bracket one we had a fierce competition on a super Saturday double points race.  In the semi finals we saw Jason Farquer, from Hillsboro, Ohio, defeat the division three champion, Ron Baisden, from Columbus, Ohio.  In the other semi finals race we saw Don Bruhn, from Xenia, Ohio, defeat David Calmes, from Medway, Ohio.

In the final Jason Farquer defeated Don Bruhn taking his first win of the season.  The best package in bracket one went to Daryl McConnaighey with a .501dead on his dial.

In bracket two we saw Mick Pence defeat Steve Collier to advance into the final where he raced Rob Nixon.  The final was decided at the starting line when Mick red lighted and gave the automatic win to Rob Nixon.  The best package went to Bryan Fox with a .5000 light.

In bracket three we award a top qualifier award from Quick Rev, which this week went to Mike McGriff.  In the semi finals we found Rick Carletta defeating a red lighting Bob Maxwell.  Joe Cloran Jr. received the bye run into the final round.  In the final it was all Joe Cloran at the starting line cutting a perfect .500 light, which he was able to use to hang on to the win over Rick Carletta.  With that light and run Joe Cloran was able to win the best package run for street.

In motorcycle we had a total of 27 bikes run down the track in the first round.  The semi’s found Glenn Lakins, from Trenton, Ohio, beating Bob Nugent, from Trotwood, Ohio.  Perry “Dog” Sowers, from Springfield, Ohio, defeated Brad Doyle, from Dayton, Ohio, in the other semi final match up.

When the bikes were getting ready to stage Perry Sowers had a misfortune when his bike refused to stay running and he was forced to let Glenn Lakins complete a single run giving him the win.  In bikes the best package went to Brian Poe with a .501 light.

In the juniors eight and nine year class we saw Jerry Rase defeat Mikah Miller.  In the ten to twelve year old class James Smith defeated Shawn Allex for another win in Junior dragster.  In the thirteen and up class we saw Meghan Hughes defeat Emily Kathe.

Next week at Kil-Kare we will be having the OTS No Box race and the week after that we hope to see you out for the National Dragster Challenge.
