Van Meter Takes KilKare Figure Eight Win

Xenia OH: (5/11/12): KilKare Speedway welcomed the International Outlaw Figure Series for the first of two stops in 2012. Indianapolis driver Eddie Van Meter set a new track record with a 16.74 lap during time trials. The veteran driver set a torrid pace in the 50 lap feature as cars navigated the double loops with the crossover. Jeremy Vanderhoot
tried his best to catch up with Van Meter's Advance Auto Sales backed machine, but had to settle for second, Josh Tharp, Ronnie Rose and Shawn Cullen rounded out the top five.

The 30 lap late model feature was a super race with Germantown’s Justin Alsip and Dick Dunlevy Jr. putting on a show for the fans. The duo circled the oval nose to tail and side by side for 20 laps . Bob Sibila Jr. was riding in third waiting for the the crash that never happened, as Alsip held off Dunlevy for his second win of the season.
Alsip celebrated in his White Allen backed Chevy with his parents, wife and son Davey. Fast qualifier Dunlevy was second, with Sibila third, Terry Scherz fourth and Russ Bobb fifth. Scherz carried the checker for the dash .

The modified division saw Kettering's Mike Carroll dominate as he set fast time, won the dash and feature in his McDonalds sponsored ride. The feature turned out to be a battle between Carroll and Bill Burba.
Burba could only watch however as the checker waved over Carroll's car on lap 30. Daryl McKay was third, with Rodney Kreusch fourth and Grant Gamble fifth.

Kreusch was also driving in the street stock division and looked to be on his way to victory before Tyler “Clark Kent” Mahaffey donned his cape and made a last lap Superman pass to notch his second win of the season. Mahaffeys Main Auto Parts Monte Carlo took the win by less than a car length over Kreusch. Jamie Sites was third, with Richard Gleason
fourth and dash winner David Stump fifth. 2011 track champion Mike South was fast qualifier.

The 20 lap compact feature saw Paul Holley lead the first 10 counters before fast qualifier Bo Hoelscher sped by. It was the "Bo Show" after that as he held off Bryan Lynch to post his third win of the season. The Riverside resident is sponsored by Car X.  Joe Hoelscher was third, Holley fourth and Ryan Barrett fifth.
