Ford, Baker, and Shellhaas Take Saturday Wins!

Kil-Kare Raceway Kicks off Summer with the “MEGA Fives and then some” A Box/No Box and Bike 2 Day event. Over 30,000 in total prizes were up for grabs, Saturday’s Racing action was the only thing hotter than the racing action would be the temperature of the racing surface. Box Class Quarterfinals would see Jason Ford dialing  a 6.48 to the 6.37 of Ryan Kimbler. Ford would cut a .021 for the better light, and would take the breakout win with a 6.491 pass. Next would be Evan Kirk dialing a 4.88 to the 6.29 of Roy St. Denis. St. Denis would cut a .011 but it would be Kirk with the breakout win with a 4.889. Ron Stayer Jr had the bye.
            In the semis Stayer Jr. would dial a 4.72 to the 4.88 of Kirk. Kirk would come off the line strong with a .006, but it would be Stayer with the win light on a 4.796 pass. Ford would have the bye into the finals.
            In the finals it would be Ford dialing a 6.47 to the 4.72 of Stayer. Stayer would cut a .002, but Ford would take the win light with a 6.463 for the double breakout win.

 


            No Box Quarterfinals would see Brad Day dialing a 6.47 to the 6.14 of Steve Collier. Collier would be better at the tree with a .047, but it would be Day with the breakout win on a 6.471. Next would be Dough Thompson dialing a 9.02 to the 6.64 of Ronnie King. King would have the better light with a .043, however Thompson would make the pass with a 9.022 for the win. Next would be Jason Wheatcraft dialing a 6.41 to the 7.01 of Dave Caplinger. Caplinger would go red moving Wheatcraft to the semis. Dave Baker would have the bye to the semis.
            In the semis it would be Thompson dialing a 9.02 to the 6.47 of Day. Thompson would cut a .006 light, and a 9.027 for the win. Next would be Dave Baker dialing a 6.49 to the 6.40 of Wheatcraft. Wheatcraft would go .0005 red moving Baker to the Finals.
            In the finals we would see Baker on a 6.48 dial to the 9.01 of Thompson. Thompson would go red making Baker the No Box Winner.

 


            In the Buckminn’s D&D Harley Davidson Bike Division we would see Bradley Shellhaas dialing an 8.54 to the 9.52 of Jeremy England. Shellhaas would cut the better light with a .007 and would take the breakout win with an 8.556. Next would be Jesse Sowers dialing a 10.04 to the 9.00 of Ceslie Shellhaas. Sowers would cut a .053 for the better light and would take the win with a 10.130 pass. Next would be Kevin Hoskins dialing a 9.10 to the 8.99 of Darrell Carmichael. Hoskins would cut a .007 and would take the win with a 9.219 pass.
            In the semis it would be Shellhaas dialing an 8.59 to the 9.13 of Kevin Hoskins. Hoskins would have the better light with a .007 but it would be Shellhaas at the stripe with an 8.624 pass. Sowers would have the bye to the finals.
            The finals would see Shellhaas dialing an 8.55 to the 10.08 of Sowers. Shellhaas would be a .001 on the tree and would take the win with an 8.552 ride.
