            Saturday Drag racing action kicked off with over 200 vehicles showing for first round eliminations, with the UMTR Series and the NHRA Summit Et Bracket Racing series. In the Sonic Drive In Super Pro Division quarterfinals we would see Jon Mitchell of Washington Courthouse dial a 6.10 to the 6.68 of Josh van Horn from Orient. Mitchell would go red moving Van Horn to the semis. Next would be Richard Hammond of Riverside dialing a 5.03 to the 5.77 of Cammie Sherrill from Springfield. Hammond would cut a .519 for the better light and would take the win with a 5.041 pass. Next would be Marvin Resibois of Lynchburg dialing a 5.26 to the 4.99 of Greg Burba from Beavercreek. Marvin would cut a .516 for the starting line advantage, and would take the double breakout win with a 5.259 pass. Ron Baisden of Columbus would have the bye run.

            In the semis we would see Van Horn dial a 6.67 to the 5.03 of Hammond. This time Hammond would cut a .502 light and would take the stripe with a 5.051 for the trip to the finals. Next would be Resibois dialing a 5.25 to the 6.00 of Baisden. Resibois would get the better reaction time with a .513 and would take the breakout win with a 5.263.

            In the finals Resibois would dial a 5.25 to the 5.03 of Hammond. Hammond would get the starting line advantage with a .531, and would take the event win with a  5.039 pass.

             In the Pro Quarterfinals we would see Gwayne Honeycutt Urbana dial a 6.44 to the 6.64 Ken Morris of Camden. Honeycutt would dial a .507 and would take the round win with a 6.465. Next would be Tom Scarpelli dialing a 6.34 to the 6.26 of Nathan Baker both of Xenia. Baker would get the better reaction with a .513; however it would be Scarpelli with a 6.360 pass for the win light. Jamie Cotterman of Pemberton would have the bye.

            In the semis it would be Scarpelli dialing a 6.35 to the 7.77 of Cotterman. Scarpelli would cut the better light with a .524 and would take the round win with a 6.359, to face bye runner Gwayne Honeycutt in the finals.

            In the finals it would be Scarpelli dialing a 6.34 to the 6.45 of Honeycutt. Honeycutt would get a .509 light for the advantage and would take the breakout win with a 6.463 pass for the win. The IDDU would celebrate in victory lane.

            In the Sportsman quarterfinals we would see Gary Knight of Dayton dialing a 17.05 to the 16.80 of Joe Hoskins from Fairborn. Knight would get the better reaction time with a .591 and would take the round win with a  17.054. Next would be Sam Bunch of Centerville dialing a 12.10 to the 12.13 of Rusty Thompson from Columbus. Bunch would get the better reaction time with a .563 and would take the round win with a 12.156 pass. The last pair for the round would be Tim Frawley of Beavercreek dialing a 17.16 to the 12.27 of Tony McFall of Tipp City. McFall would cut a .590 for the better light and would take the round win with a 12.327 pass.

            In the semis it would be Bunch dialing a 12.10 to the 17.03 of Knight. At the tree it would be Bunch with a  .542 for the better light and would take the win light with a 12.164 pass. McFall would have the bye run to the finals.

            In the finals we would see Bunch dial a 12.10 to the 12.27 of McFall. McFall would get the better light with a .521 and would take the win light with a 12.292 pass.

            In the Buckminn’s D&D Harley Davidson Pro Bike Division quarterfinals it would be Jeremy England of West Chester dialing a 10.18 to the 8.47 of Rick Haupt from Farmersville. Jeremy would cut a .539 light and would get the round win with a 10.208 ride. Next would be Sam Cotterman of Tremont City dialing a 10.51 to the 9.89 of Roger Wilhelm of Urbana. Cotterman would go red moving Wilhelm to the semis. Bradley Shellhaas of Springfield had the bye run to the semis.

            In the semis it would be England dialing a 10.18 to the 8.57 of Shellhaas. England would have the better reaction time with a .530 but it would be Shellhaas with the win light on an 8.887 ride. Wilhelm would have the bye run to the finals. 

            In the finals we would see Wilhelm dial a 9.92 to the 8.59 of Shellhaas. Shellhaas would cut the better light with a .532 and would take the event win with an 8.605 ride.
            In the Junior Dragster 8-9 class we would see Byron Pitts of Urbana dial a 13.04 to the 12.98 of Emily Crum from Jamestown. Crum would go red moving Pitts to the finals.          Shelby Stacy of New Carlisle would have the bye run to the finals.

            In the finals it would be Pitts dialing a 13.10 to the 12.98 of Stacy. Pitts would cut a .515 and would take the event win with a 13.153 pass.

            In the 10-12 class we would see Allison Neeld of St. Paris dial a 12.29 to the 10.32 of Hunter Hughes. Hughes would have the better reaction time with a .529, but it would be Neeld with the win on a 12.295 pass. Next would be Marissa Babb dialing a 9.15 to the 10.40 of JD Raise. Babb would cut a .508 light and would take the round win with a 9.342 pass.

            In the finals Babb would dial a 9.15 to the 12.29 of Neeld. Neeld would cut the better light with a .612 and would take the win with a 12.437 pass.

            In the 13 & Up class it would be Walt Crum of Beavercreek dialing an 8.08 to the 7.90 of Shayla Babb of Xenia. Babb would get the better light with a .636 and would take the win with a 7.909 pass. Next would be Melanie Raise of Hillsboro dialing a 7.93 to the 7.91 of Michelle Morris of Dayton. Raise would have the better reaction time with a .522 and would take the win light with a 7.984 pass. Next would be James smith of Beavercreek dialing an 8.02 to the 7.99 of Ben Browder of Fairborn. Smith would go red moving Browder to the semis. Next up would be Mike Morris of Dayton dialing an 8.08 to the 8.02 of Megan Hughes from Jamestown. Hughes would go red moving Morris to the semis.

            In the semis it would be Morris dialing a 7.98 to the 7.93 of Raise. Morris would cut a .549 light but it would be Raise with the win light on a 7.973 pass. Next would be Babb dialing a 7.90 to the 8.07 of Browder. Browder would cut a .544, but it would be Babb with a 7.910.

            In the finals it would be Babb dialing a 7.90 to the 7.93 of Raise. Babb would get the better light with a  .546 and would take the win with a 7.966.

             High School division would see Mike Morris dialing a 17.10. Morris would cut a .601 and would take the event win with a 17.233 pass.
