2008 Dragway Points Policies

   In the 2008 Drag Racing Season at Kil-Kare, points will be assigned to all of those who buy into the points program. The Points buy in for each class will amount to a one time $35 charge. The first race for points is scheduled for May 3, 2008. If racers buy into points after the first race, their points will begin being tracked from the purchase date of their points entry. Kil-Kare will take the top points earning racers from each bracket to the Div. 3 Bracket Finals at O'Reilly's Raceway Park in September to compete in Kil-Kare's name. Only those who race for points will be eligible for Team Kil-Kare. Points will be awarded in the following manner:

          1st Round = 1 point to Stage (1st Round Only)
1 point to Win

         2nd Round and past = 1 point to Win only!
                                              NO STAGE POINTS

         Buy Backs are eligible to receive points for rounds won only.

         For example: Racer A & Racer B race for first Round. Racer A wins and is awarded 2 points (1pt for first round Stage, 1 pt for round win. Racer B receives 1 pt. (Stage Point). Race B Buys back and wins in the second round and is awarded 1 pt for second round win. Both racers are eligible to receive 1 pt per round win after the first round.

Full Championship Points Payout is still being determined, however Champions will receive $1,000 in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman and Pro Bike. Runner up for the Championship will receive $500 in the each division listed above. Racers who wish to enter into points competition can buy their entry at the Tech Trailer on Saturday's.
